JCEE ASSURANCE METHOD / PUBLIC OVERVIEW

The JCEE Assurance Method
for AI-assisted operations

A repeatable operating method for turning uncertain AI-era claims into bounded, reproducible, reviewable evidence without letting confidence outrun authority.

METHOD · ABOVE THE MECHANISMSPUBLIC CLAIM · BOUNDED

Possibility. Evidence. Boundary. Permitted consequence. Receipt.

Claims, observations, decisions, and consequences are different things. The method preserves those differences instead of collapsing them into one confidence score or one unexplained green state.

Hypotheses may be broad. Authority must remain bounded. Evidence decides what can be claimed; policy decides what can be done.

Observe → Judge → Authorize → Record

Identify the source instruction and observed state. Explain what the evidence supports. Determine whether current permission covers the next action. Preserve an inspectable account of the decision and result.

THE 12-STEP ASSURANCE LOOP

A reusable path from question to bounded action.

Precommit what would count against the claim, preserve the object tested, attack uncertainty directly, and let the final boundary be no broader than the evidence.

  1. 01State the consequential question

Name the decision or action that could change if the claim is accepted.

  2. 02Define the claim

Make the proposition specific enough that it can be wrong.

  3. 03Write the disproof recipe

State what observation would count against the claim before running the test.

  4. 04Map assumptions

List dependencies, hidden state, timing, model assumptions, and external authorities.

  5. 05Freeze the protocol

Lock inputs, versions, fixtures, scoring, and stop conditions for the run.

  6. 06Separate observations

Distinguish raw state, transformed state, inferred state, and model judgment.

  7. 07Run adversarial cases

Test ambiguity, missing data, stale state, contradictions, retries, crashes, and edge conditions.

  8. 08Capture provenance

Identify inputs, artifacts, code, environment, and outputs with immutable references where appropriate.

  9. 09Evaluate the frozen rule

Decide using the precommitted rule, not a post-hoc narrative.

  10. 10Set the boundary

Record exactly what the evidence supports and what remains outside scope.

  11. 11Authorize the consequence

Apply explicit authority; do not let the result broaden its own scope.

  12. 12Emit the receipt

Preserve enough evidence for another reviewer to reconstruct the decision.

Templates, review gates, and an adoption pattern for applying the method consistently.

03

Evidence & Judgment

Observation and bounded conclusion

Captures observations, provenance, scoring, review, and conclusions without collapsing inference into fact.

04

Authority & Contract

Permission stays separate

Expresses what an actor may do under explicit scope, state, freshness, delegation, and revocation constraints.

05

VOW Runtime

Consequential execution and recovery

Preserves durable intent, ambiguity, recovery, effect identity, policy boundaries, and receipts.

06

Adapters & Integrations

Real-system translation

Translate external systems into explicit observations and permitted actions without hiding uncertainty.

COMMERCIAL PATHOPEN LANGUAGE · PROTECTED IMPLEMENTATION

The playbook can generate demand without being the whole product.

The governing direction is method first: teach a discipline people can understand and apply, then sell assessment, implementation, software, and ongoing assurance where repeatability and integration create real operating value.

Public release decisions remain file-by-file and right-by-right. This page does not publish or release the internal working playbook, private code, sensitive verifier logic, or customer material.

  1. 01Public playbook

A technical calling card for learning the method and its vocabulary once the release gate is cleared.

  2. 02Assurance assessment

A time-bounded review of one AI workflow, claim, or consequential automation.

  3. 03Implementation sprint

Freeze protocol, define evidence and authority boundaries, and produce reconstructable receipts.

  4. 04Reference tooling

Selected validators and examples that make the method easier for technical teams to adopt.

  5. 05VOW / assurance software

Software for effect identity, recovery, policy, evidence, judgment, replay, and receipts.

  6. 06Enterprise assurance program

Ongoing controls, evidence operations, review, and integration across multiple workflows.

The receipt is the product of the decision.

A useful receipt identifies the intended claim or action, exact artifacts, authoritative observations, decision rule, effect identity, recovery state, limitations, and review pointer.

It lets a skeptical reviewer reconstruct what the organization knew when it acted. That enterprise framing sharpens the presentation without replacing the underlying method.

PUBLIC CLAIM BOUNDARYWHAT THE CURRENT RECORD SUPPORTS

What we can say now.

SUPPORTED
  • A portable evidence layer can be separated from the runtime that produced the underlying records.
  • A bounded verifier can distinguish supported, contradictory, and insufficient evidence under declared conditions.
  • Verification output can state its premises, limits, and evidence identity instead of returning an unexplained success label.
  • The method can guide a team before that team adopts JCEE software.
NOT CLAIMED
  • Universal proof that every consequential action was correct
  • Independent third-party certification
  • Production readiness in every environment
  • Truth merely because a record is signed or well formed
  • Elimination of every compromised authority, hidden dependency, or bypass path
  • Public release of the internal working playbook, private verifier logic, attack corpora, trust profiles, or counsel material
CURRENT BUILD RECORDSREVIEWED SEPTEMBER 14, 2026

The built components and their current limits.

DEFINED CONTRACT · APPROVED SUCCESSOR

JEC 1.0 / 1.0.1 successor

The current register carries forward JEC 1.0.1 packaging R1 with corrected 8/8 validation and the approved variant A. Packaging validation does not prove the truth of a record.

A well-formed or signed record does not by itself prove that its source was competent, complete, current, or truthful.

BOUNDED REPRODUCTION COMPLETE

JA-P0.3 Independent Verification Kernel

The locked reproduction recorded 30/30 compatibility checks, 14/14 native checks, and 500/500 mutations for two active profiles.

Three QCS-dependent profiles remain blocked by the absent exact accepted specification digest. No universal authority-truth claim.

Full record →

CROSS-HOST REPRODUCTION COMPLETE

JA-P0.4 Immutable Evidence Ledger

The final receipt records 27 native checks, 100 determinism checks, and 1,000 mutations on two hosts. The component is used in the bounded Evidence Engine slice.

Ledger integrity does not prove external truth or activate blocked verifier profiles.

LOCAL HARNESS REPRODUCED · MODEL TEST NOT RUN

IEJ

Frozen deterministic stages remain preserved. The P0.4 local harness reproduced 5/5; the provider/model experiment remains unexecuted. A harness result is not a model result.

The current record does not establish general-purpose judgment correctness or replace qualified external review.

EXPERIMENTAL · BOUNDED SHADOW SLICE

Evidence Engine

The preserved synthetic refund pilot reports 11/11 cases and 14 tests. Evidence admission, snapshot verification, and operator display are connected in bounded local scope.

Presentation does not strengthen the underlying evidence, establish external truth, or substitute for an independent verifier.

BOUNDED HOST-B QUALIFICATION

JEC-EA P0.2A

The Host-B RUN2 receipt reports a bounded timestamp/transparency qualification using the pinned contract variant and a synthetic transparency anchor.

External key custody, immutable storage, formal P0.2 authority, and Host-A consumption remain unqualified.

FROZEN BOUNDED CANDIDATE

JCEE Compounding System P0.5

The preserved P0.5 gate passed 33/33 invariants on Python 3.10 and 3.12.

Attributable provenance is not world truth, competent authority, or permission to execute. No automatic P0.6.

JCEE VOW, QCS, JEC, JCEE Assurance, IEJ, and the Evidence Engine retain distinct responsibilities and evidence boundaries. Their composition must be tested; shared authorship does not make composition correct.
